My Journey...
I'm Becky (she/her, they/them), a mindfulness teacher and guide dedicated to helping people uncover their own inner wisdom. My formal mindfulness training is rooted in Buddhist principles, guided by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, but my journey with meditation and self-inquiry began over 20 years ago - at an unexpected place. My first teacher wasn't in a monastery but at a Chili's Grill & Bar, where my manager, trained at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, introduced me to the power of energy, intention, and focused awareness.
From there, my curiosity led me to study Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), then to do graduate work in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I explored the world's spiritual traditions, the evolution of human consciousness, and the stories we tell ourselves about the nature of reality. Along the way, I practiced Reiki and Theta healing, deepening my understanding of how different traditions approach healing and transformation.
For a long time, I wondered if my wide-ranging path should have been more linear. But I've come to see this breadth as my greatest gift. Rather than committing to one rigid framework, I've spent years tracing the common threads between wisdom traditions - each one asking the same essential question: How to be human, fully and freely? The answers vary, but the destination is always the same - back to ourselves, back to our own inner knowing.
